Amazon is accelerating the growth of its next‑generation voice assistant, announcing a major expansion for Alexa+ just nine months after the upgraded service first launched.

The company says adoption has surged at a pace far beyond expectations, with the platform now connected to “tens of thousands” of services and devices and used by “tens of millions” of customers worldwide.

According to Amazon, people aren’t just signing up — they’re changing how they interact with the assistant. Since launching, Alexa+ users have doubled the number of conversations they initiate, tripled the number of purchases made through the service, and requested five times more recipes than before. The company says the trend points to one clear takeaway: customers want Alexa available in more places and on more platforms.

In response, Amazon has taken the next step in its expansion strategy by rolling out Alexa.com to all Alexa+ Early Access customers. The new web experience is designed to bring the assistant beyond smart speakers and mobile apps, offering users another way to interact with Alexa wherever they are.
