Apple is set to announce “at least five products” next week.

The tech behemoth is planning a major event in New York, Shanghai and London on March 4 and Bloomberg tech reporter Mark Gurman feels it will be the culmination of a raft of launches from the company.

Gurman feels that Apple is “very likely” to reveal the low-cost MacBook – considering the event’s choice of colours that could reference the new laptops.

He also predicted that Apple could announce the iPhone 17e, since its predecessor was launched at the same time last year, and an iPad Air that has been updated with the M4 chip.

Previous speculation suggests that Apple could be getting ready to drop the upgraded MacBook Pro, which will likely get M5 Pro and Max chips, and the new MacBook air with the base M5 chip.

Apple could even debut the refreshed Mac Studio and a new Apple Studio Display as the two desktop-oriented upgrades were expected to be released in the first half of the year.

There is yet to be any confirmation directly from Apple about this.

Meanwhile, it was reported last week that Apple is developing AI-powered smart glasses, camera-equipped AirPods and a clip-on pendant.

According to Bloomberg, the products are being designed around an upgraded version of Siri that can interpret visual context, allowing the assistant to respond based on what a user is seeing in real time.

The supposed devices will link closely to the iPhone, leaning on it for processing power while expanding Apple’s ecosystem into always-on, camera-enabled accessories.

Apple CEO Tim Cook recently hinted at the company’s broader ambitions, saying Apple is working on new “categories of products” enabled by AI.

He added: “We’re extremely excited about that.”

Cook also acknowledged the pace of change in the sector, stating: “The world is changing fast.”
