Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem will run at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second on PlayStation 5 Pro.
In a post on the Japanese PlayStation Blog, game director Akishi Nakanishi outlined how the upcoming survival horror title will take advantage of Sony’s more powerful console.
Players on PS5 Pro will be able to toggle ray tracing on or off, with ray tracing enabled while maintaining a 4K60 experience.
Nakanishi also confirmed support for higher frame rates on compatible displays.
While performance will vary depending on settings, the game is expected to average around 90fps on PS5 Pro, with support for frame rates of up to 120fps for players prioritizing smoothness over visual fidelity.
Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth mainline entry in Capcom’s horror series and returns the franchise to Raccoon City.
The story follows FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, who is investigating a string of mysterious deaths at the Wrenwood Hotel – the same location where her mother, Alyssa Ashcroft, was killed years earlier.
The game features a dual-protagonist structure, pairing Grace with returning series icon Leon S. Kennedy.
Capcom has said the two characters are designed to offer contrasting playstyles, with Grace’s sections focusing more on investigation and tension, while Leon brings a heavier emphasis on combat-driven survival horror.
Resident Evil Requiem launches on February 27 across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
The Standard and Deluxe editions are now available to pre-order.
