Apple has announced the iPhone Pocket, a new fashion-forward iPhone accessory created in collaboration with Japanese design house ISSEY MIYAKE.

Described as a “beautiful way to wear and carry iPhone,” the product blends high-end textile craftsmanship with Apple’s minimalist design ethos.

Debuting on November 14, the iPhone Pocket features a singular 3D-knitted structure inspired by ISSEY MIYAKE’s signature pleats.

The flexible textile expands to accommodate not just an iPhone, but also small essentials like AirPods or cards.

The product’s semi-transparent weave subtly reveals the contents inside, creating what Apple calls an “open yet protective” design.

The accessory can be handheld, tied onto bags, or worn crossbody, offering a versatile new way to carry tech.

Two versions are available – a short strap model in eight colors (including lemon, mandarin, and peacock) and a long strap variant in three colors (sapphire, cinnamon, and black).

Prices start at $149.95 for the short design and $229.95 for the long.

Yoshiyuki Miyamae, design director at MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO, said in a statement: “iPhone Pocket speaks to the bond between iPhone and its user.

“It’s about the joy of wearing iPhone in your own way.”

Apple’s vice president of Industrial Design Molly Anderson added that the collaboration “celebrates craftsmanship, simplicity, and delight,” aligning with both brands’ shared aesthetic values.

She said in a statement: “This clever extra pocket exemplifies those ideas and is a natural accompaniment to our products.

“The color palette of iPhone Pocket was intentionally designed to mix and match with all our iPhone models and colors — allowing users to create their own personalized combination.

“Its recognizable silhouette offers a beautiful new way to carry your iPhone, AirPods, and favorite everyday items.”

The iPhone Pocket is available in select Apple Stores across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
