Apple is reportedly preparing to host an October event that could showcase its next wave of hardware, including the first M5-powered iPad Pro and an upgraded Vision Pro headset.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Cupertino-based company is expected to unveil the M5 chip next month, with the iPad Pro tipped to be the first device to ship with the processor.
The tablet will reportedly retain its ultra-thin design and come in two sizes, but with significant performance gains thanks to the new silicon.
It has also been claimed that Apple is working on a refreshed Vision Pro headset equipped with the same M5 chip.
The move would give the device more power to run advanced mixed-reality applications, 18 months after its original launch.
More broadly, Apple could also reportedly take the wraps off upgrades to other devices in its ecosystem.
Rumored announcements include a new Apple TV with an A17 Pro chip designed to better support Siri, an updated HomePod mini running on the faster S9-series processor to enable Apple Intelligence features, and a redesigned AirTag offering three times the tracking range of the current model.
There is also speculation that Apple will preview an M5-powered MacBook Pro and a new Studio Display with mini-LED backlighting, though these products reportedly may not ship until early 2026.
Apple has yet to confirm whether the October announcements will take place via a live keynote or a series of press releases, as it did last year.
